Creamy Mushroom Burger Steak

One time, due to oversleeping and not eating much the night before, you wake up so hungry. Worse, there's no leftover food to eat. You open your fridge, nothing to cook in sight, well... just a couple of burger patties, but what you want is a full meal with rice! The solution -- creamy mushroom burger steak.

This creamy mushroom sauce is very versatile. It
can even be used for carbonara!

Ingredients: (Good for 4-6 pax)

  • 6 pcs. regular burger patties
  • 1 can of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch
  • 1 tsp butter
  • salt, pepper and sugar

The Procedure:

  1. Over low heat, melt the butter and toss the sliced mushrooms in. Fry until cooked.
  2. Add the cream and stir.
  3. Mix the corn starch with the milk and stir well.
  4. Little by little, add the milk and cornstarch concoction to the mushrooms and cream, continuously stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. When the sauce has begun to thicken, add salt, pepper and sugar to taste.
  6. Serve over cooked burger patties.

Note: It's best to serve this along with mixed veggies (corn, carrots and peas) and of course, rice.
